TPAS Scotland unveils key themes and new format for 2024 Housing Professionals’ Conference

TPAS Scotland has announced key themes and a new format, for its annual conference for staff working in tenant participation in Scotland’s social housing sector.

The Housing Professionals Conference, taking place on 28 and 29 October at Apex City Quay Hotel in Dundee, will focus on the theme of ‘professionals supporting professionals’. The event will cover current issues, including fuel poverty, affordable warmth, proposals for a new net zero social housing standard and tackling digital exclusion.

This year, the conference will have a new format, comprising of plenary sessions only, allowing all delegates to hear from every speaker. The sessions will still provide opportunity for discussion during question-and-answer sections, and the event’s breaks will allow delegates to network.

Jacqueline Norwood, Executive Director, TPAS Scotland, said:

We’re excited to announce further details of this year’s Housing Professionals Conference. We have a really strong programme that not only reflects current housing issues, but it has been directly informed by feedback from our members. Delegates will leave our event with information, ideas and actions they can take back to their organisations.

“Our new conference format means that delegates willhear from every speaker, rather than having to choose between workshops. However, there will still be plenty of opportunities for discussion and networking, including during Q&A sessions, an interactive plenary, breaks, exhibition viewing and the conference dinner.

“If you’re working in tenant participation, I’d encourage you to book your place today.”

Confirmed session themes and speakers include:

  • The Scottish Government’s proposals for a new net zero housing standard, with Andrew Faulk, Consumer Scotland
