Scottish Government’s 2023-2024 Programme for Government

The Scottish Government’s 2023-2024 Programme for Government has been published today. It sets out the actions that the Scottish Government will take in the coming year and beyond.

You will see that it includes commitments for a Housing Bill to deliver a New Deal for Tenants – including the introduction of long-term rent controls and new tenant rights, as well as new prevention of homelessness duties – and also to continue working with local government and stakeholders to reduce the number of people living in temporary accommodation.
