Listening to your Community
Tenants and Residents Associations (TRAs) were established to give residents who volunteer the opportunity to represent the views and interests of everyone living in their local region and make their neighborhood a better place to live.
TRA’s are, by design, there to support a community, but it is very easy to fall into the trap of focusing on the opinions of the TRA committee, or even a singular committee member, rather than the views of the whole community.
In this workshop at the Annual Conference, Iain Ralph, Chairman of the Central Burntisland Tenants and Residents Association will talk about the importance of communicating and listening to your community, alongside clearly outlining the value of a project for those involved.
Make sure you have booked your ticket for this year’s TPAS Annual Conference to hear from Iain and other engaging speakers and workshop hosts. Tickets can be purchased by emailing elaine.scoular@tpasscotland.org.uk More information on the conference and other speakers can be found here.
Iain Ralph retired from a career in the Navy at 62, having seen the world, and worked with some very interesting people. The Central Burntisland TRA was established in 2017, and Iain has been the Chairman since the group’s inception.
