Consultation on regulation of social housing in Scotland

Scotland’s regulatory authority for social housing has unveiled their consultation on the future of social housing regulation.

Drawing from extensive stakeholder feedback, the proposal emphasises the need for landlords to provide explicit assurances in their Annual Assurance Statement. It also advocates for heightened landlord-tenant communication and clear compliance standards.

The final framework, based on this consultation, will be published in February 2024 and implemented by April 2024.
