Technology Enabled Care in Housing (TECH) is a Scottish Government funded programme of work aimed at supporting Local Authority and Registered Social Landlords across Scotland increase their awareness and adoption of digital technologies to support the health and
wellbeing of tenants and homeowners.

TECH Programme Co-Ordinator Geraldine Begg attended the May TPAS TPO catch up where she spoke about the newly launched Healthier Homes initiative. In her talk Geraldine explored the attitudes and appetite of housing providers and tenants/homeowners to use digital technologies to support improved wellbeing through warm homes.

Geraldine was keen to hear from members who are engaging with tenants and homeowners on the subjects of wellbeing, digital or energy/warmth and to hear from any groups whose voices are often less heard.

She asked that members highlight the awareness of the initiative within their own organisations with a view to asset managers and housing management staff taking the Healthier Homes IoT survey. This is essential as engagement with tenants and homeowners will be via housing providers engaged in the initiative.

TPAS organise regular TPO catch ups. Keep an eye on our website event pages or sign up to our newsletter for details of future ones.
