Sidey Becomes First Contractor to Join TPAS Scotland

TPAS Scotland welcomes Sidey as its first contractor member, strengthening tenant understanding and supporting higher standards across the housing sector.

TPAS Scotland is delighted to welcome Sidey, one of Scotland’s leading window and door specialists, as the first contractor to join its membership network.

This marks an important milestone for TPAS Scotland as it extends its reach beyond landlords and tenant organisations to include contractors who play a direct role in delivering services in tenants’ homes.

Sidey works extensively across the social housing sector, delivering window and door solutions as part of planned improvement programmes. By joining TPAS Scotland, Sidey has demonstrated a clear commitment to strengthening its understanding of tenant priorities and ensuring that resident voices help shape how services are delivered.

Effective tenant engagement is central to positive outcomes in housing. For contractors delivering work in people’s homes, listening to tenants, understanding their experiences and communicating clearly are essential to providing a high-quality service.

Through TPAS Scotland membership, Sidey will have access to a national network of tenants, landlords, government and statutory organisations, supporting continued learning and collaboration across the sector. This will help enhance communication, improve the customer journey and support better experiences for residents during planned improvement works.

Eveline Armour, Chief Executive of TPAS Scotland, said, “We are delighted to welcome Sidey as our first contractor to TPAS Scotland. It is hugely important for contractors to listen to and understand tenants, and to provide services that meet their needs.

“Being part of the TPAS Scotland network, where we regularly engage with tenants, landlords, government and statutory organisations, will help boost this engagement and improve the understanding of tenants’ needs and priorities.”

Steve Hardy, Joint Managing Director at Sidey, said,  “We are proud to become the first window and door business to join TPAS. This membership is important to us because we understand that the work we do takes place in people’s homes, and listening to tenants is vital to delivering the best possible service.

“Joining TPAS strengthens our commitment to understanding tenants’ needs, learning from their experiences and continuing to improve how we communicate and work with residents. We see this as an important step in helping create better outcomes for tenants and the communities we serve.”

TPAS Scotland is recognised across the housing sector for championing tenant participation and supporting organisations to improve engagement, communication and customer experience.  Find out more about our contractor memberships here.
