TPAS are pleased to share with you that the Housing to 2040 Route Map and the Housing to 2040 Vision & Principles along with other associated documents have been published today. You can access the documents by using the following link:

Housing to 2040 is a culmination of an extensive stakeholder engagement and consultation and is Scotland’s first long-term national housing strategy. It sets a vision for what we want housing to look like and how it will be provided to the people of Scotland, regardless of where they live and what point in their life they are at.

The Scottish Government’s ambition is that everyone in Scotland should have access to a warm, safe, affordable and energy efficient home that meets  their needs, in a community they feel part of and proud of. They want to ensure that Scotland has a housing system that can help to address the number of challenges we are facing, including an ageing population and the global climate emergency, and which is dynamic and resilient enough to respond to changing contexts in future.

The SG recognise that they cannot deliver the ambitions set out in the Housing to 2040 alone and we will continue to work with local authorities, housing providers, landlords, the construction and house building sectors and others to do this.
