Are landlords considering equality requirements in Tenant Participation practices?

It is always convenient and practical to involve those tenants in consultations or discussions who are willing, known and easy to access.

Sometimes landlords continue to work with the same group of tenants who have been identified to represent and speak on behalf of others.

It also helps landlords in meeting the Tenant Participation requirements.

Are landlords unintentionally forgetting those who are vulnerable, face communication barriers or need support to participate in discussions and issues which are important to them?

It’s time to think about and learn what needs to be done for Tenant Participation to be truly open and inclusive.
