Doing our bit for Earth Day…
It was great to see so many organisations getting involved in Earth Day to improve climate change, pollution, and deforestation and protect the plant for future generations.
Here’s what some of our members have been up to…
Scooting about in Paisley
A tenant of Renfrewshire Council, Margaret Dymond is involved in lots of community groups from the Quality Circle Estate Management group to the tenant scrutiny panel for Renfrewshire and the Regional Networks representative for Renfrewshire (region 3). On Earth Day, to minimise carbon emissions, Margaret used her scooter to do a Quality Circle Estate Management at Fulbar Road, Paisley instead of getting a taxi. Well done Margaret!

Cleaning up our local communities in Fife
To mark World Earth Day, Kingdom Group organised community litter picks across three locations, bringing together colleagues and customers to help care for local neighbourhoods and make a positive impact on the local environmental.
Litter picks were carried out in Perth, Crail and Ballingry alongside the team at Fife Council’s Safer Communities Team, who supplied litter pickers and personal protective equipment through their Meet Up, Clean Up programme.
The activities were organised and delivered by members of the Customer Experience Team, with colleagues from the Neighbourhoods and Asset Management Team and the Development and Kingdom Group’s Sustainability Graduate Trainee.
Overall, 20 bags of rubbish were collected across the three locations, helping to improve the appearance of the areas and reduce environmental harm. The events highlighted the positive impact that working together can have and reinforced Kingdom’s ongoing commitment to supporting cleaner, safer and more sustainable communities.
Reidvale Community Clean-up
Staff and the Chair at Reidvale Housing Association got stuck into a community clean-up around Reidvale. The work carried out has made a a positive difference to the local neighbourhood, adding up to a cleaner, more welcoming place for everyone.
