Our recent Climate Emergency – it’s time for change programme as part of Scottish Housing Week focused on highlighting solutions to help landlords and tenants improve their carbon footprint.

Through a fantastic spread of interesting discussions, the programme covered reducing food waste, zero waste shopping through The Little Green Larder, pantry initiatives with Castlemilk Pantry, community food provision from EBI Unites, Falkirk Council’s waste strategy considerations and an interesting presentation about Love Food Hate Waste. SBHA presented on their Langlee Project which aims to improve neighbourhoods, Healthy Valleys explained how they are supporting families and communities to be resilient and we heard from Travelknowhow Scotland on active and sustainable travel.

All of the organisations are based in Scotland and are pioneering impactful ideas on how to help their local communities and reduce waste.

Thank you to all the speakers and people who joined the conference. Feedback from both speakers and attendees has been very positive. TPAS will look to run a follow up conference with any updated project coming from the organisations involved.
